Do you have the Kaal Sarp Dosha in your Birth Chart?

The Sanskrit word Kaal means black or dark. Sarp means serpent. Dosh refers to an astrological condition, disorder, defect or shortcoming. Kaal Sarp Dosha is one of the many Doshas. Kaal Sarp Dosh is a specific astrological condition where there is certain situation or status of all the planets falling on one side, within 180°, of the Ketu and Rahu in a native’s natal birth chart, Janam Kundli. There are different kinds of Kaal Sarp Dosh, depending on the native’s birth chart, Janam Kundli.

Ketu and Rahu, the astrological aspects, are given the status of shadow planets, but these are actually the imaginary meeting point between the Sun and the moon. In the above, by all the planets, it is meant including the Sun, the Earth’s moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn.

Kaal Sarp Dosh may be related to like having a curse. In the situation of Kaal Sarp Dosh to a native, the planets lose the power of their characteristics or qualities. In a sense, planets may become victims of the Rahu and Ketu situation, as the serpent bites or eat away anything. Kaal Sarp Dosh can make a deep impact on the horoscope, depending on a native’s Janam Kundli.
